A weekend off this time of year is welcome and rare and it gave Daniel Jones a chance, albeit briefly, to catch up on a whirlwind month as a starting NFL quarterback.
The Giants are 2-2 in Jones’ four starts, winning the first two and losing the past two games. Jones was torrid in Tampa in his first career start and has cooled considerably each passing week. Not prone to hyperbole or angst, Jones, 22, on Wednesday offered a blunt assessment of where he’s been and what he’s done.
“I think it’s been, looking back on the month, I’ve been kind of up and down,’’ Jones said.
