On Thursday, newly drafted quarterback and number six overall pick Daniel Jones expressed his excitement to be joining the New York Giants due to their current situation on offense.
“It’s a tremendous opportunity for a young guy to go into a place where there’s a future hall of famer,” said Jones, who was referring to his eventual predecessor Eli Manning (via Giants.com).
The anticipation is that Jones will take the reigns from Manning following this year. While he still has a lot of room to improve, It is certainly a positive sign that he is eager to come in and learn from the two-time Super Bowl champion.
