Cowboys’ Ezekiel Elliott, Jaylon Smith: It will be weird without Jason Garrett

The Cowboys haven’t been without Jason Garrett on their coaching staff in some capacity since 2007.

And now the organization will have to compete against their former head coach, who was recently hired as offensive coordinator of the Giants, in their very first season without him.

“It’s going to be weird, because you’re so used to Jason, and one thing I loved about Jason, he’s the ultimate consistent [person],” linebacker Jaylon Smith said Wednesday at Pro Bowl practice, according to the Dallas Morning News. “Never high, never low, just [clapping] — that’s him.
