Cops gathering ‘tons of evidence’ in Corey Ballentine shooting

Kansas cops are “working leads” and “gathering tons of evidence and witness statements” in the shooting of Giants draft pick Corey Ballentine and the death of his football buddy — but still have no suspects in custody, a police rep told The Post on Monday.

The Topeka Police Department urged more potential witnesses to step forward.

“We need those who were present to let us know what they saw,’’ the department said in a statement.

The cops said “dozens’’ of people were at the off-campus party in Topeka where Ballentine was injured and his Washburn University roommate Dwane Simmons killed early yesterday as the pair celebrated Ballentine’s drafting by the Giants the day before.
