Chiefs’ Mike DeVito Retires

Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Mike DeVito announced his retirement after nine seasons in the N.F.L.

DeVito, 31, posted on Twitter that it was his wife, Jessie, who was most influential in his decision. The couple are expecting a second child.

DeVito spent his first six seasons with the Jets, twice going to the playoffs.
