Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported on Sunday that the New York Giants could promote offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo to head coach if Tom Coughlin decides to retire.
Ultimately, many execs around the league believe any decision to depart may well come down to whether Coughlin elects to retire. In the event the Giants do make a coaching change, offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo is highly thought of within the organization and would be a strong candidate for the position.
McAdoo would make sense. Quarterback Eli Manning has looked like a new quarterback under McAdoo’s offense.
