A 25-year-old man was killed in a motorbike accident that shut down Route 2 for over six hours on Wednesday afternoon.
The victim’s identity has yet to be revealed. According to Massachusetts State Police, he lived in Athol.
The motorcycle crash happened around the 75-mile marker in the eastbound lane, according to Massachusetts State Police.
The operator of the 2002 Honda motorbike was discovered deceased from his injuries in the incident when state officers arrived.
