EAST RUTHERFORD —If you think two practices into a training camp is too quick to make snap judgements on players then you don't know the pace of today's NFL.
Even coaches have to resist an urge to draw to much from the first few days, when everybody is operating at different speeds. For example, All-Pro defensive tackle Damon Harrison hasn't even taken the field yet.
"I think we tend to judge as coaches and we fight that being instant evaluators," Giants coach Pat Shurmur said. "We need to see guys playing the true game of football, which happens after the pads (come on).
