The New York Giants WILL Win The NFC East In 2015 - Here's Why

The New York Giants have suffered back-to-back losing seasons, putting Tom Coughlin on the hot seat. It's been four years since the Giants won their last Super Bowl, which means they'll probably win another one this season. But first, they need to win their division.

Yes, they're 0-2, but with the Cowboys being severely hampered by injuries to Tony Romo and Dez Bryant, the Redskins being the Redskins, and the Eagles being in shambles, the opportunity is there. Here are four reasons why the Giants will win the NFC East this year.

Better Defense

The Giants are still battling injuries on the defensive side, especially in the secondary. Still, the defense should be better this season. DT Johnathan Hankins could be in for a breakout season. Jon Beason will hopefully stay healthy. Landon Collins is a big boost at safety. He was a steal at the start of round two. Hiring Steve Spagnuolo could help the Giants defense look a little bit more like the Giants' units of old.

Tom Coughlin

Yes, he's on the hot seat. But remember that the last two times the Giants won a Super Bowl, Coughlin was on the hot seat. Coughlin is still a great coach, and he'll put his team in a position to win. Never count out a team led by Coughlin.

Eli Manning

Manning is one of the best QBs in the NFL. He rebounded last season, completing 63 percent of his passes and throwing 14 picks. He threw 27 the year before. He's a great leader and should play even better this season. With Manning playing at a high level, the Giants will be regular threats in the NFC East.

Yes, his clock management issues have cost the Giants the first two games of the season, but Manning has been the one that has given them a chance to win in the first place. A player with the championship mettle of Manning will get his late game issues turned around sooner rather than later, and then the victories will start rolling in.

Better/Healthier Weapons

Odell Beckham only played in 12 games last season and had a huge year. Now, Manning will have him for all 16 games. Victor Cruz will be back, although he's now the No. 2 WR. Rashad Jennings could have a big season if he stays healthy. If not, Andre Williams played well late last season. Shane Vereen has been a great third-down back for Manning, and Victor Cruz is set to return in Week 4. The Giants will need the offense to carry them this season, and they've done that so far this season.
