NY Giants News: Tom Coughlin tweaks practice restrictions in hopes of avoiding 0-3

In this NY Giants news update, New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin has given in just a little bit to the players' leadership council, allowing the team to listen to music during warm-ups on Friday.

The thinking is, with the team desperately trying to avoid an 0-3 start with the 2-0 Houston Texans coming into town on Sunday, a little bit of levity and relaxation could go a long way.

“The players wanted that,” Coughlin said, via George Willis of the New York Post. “We’ve done that before. We did it years ago. It’s just a little bit of noise in the air, like a stadium pre-game, is the way they put it.”

Coughlin is usually pretty strict when it comes to the environment in team practices, but he is willing to empty his bag of tricks in order to avoid repeating the frustration of last year's 0-6 start.

“I don’t want to talk about last year,” he said with a frown at the end of his press conference on Friday. “I do not want to talk about last year.”
