In Giants rumors tonight, speculation that the New York Giants may make a big push to sign free agent wide receiver Sidney Rice could have been a little hasty.
So says Jordan Raanan of NJ.com:

The New York Giants have been looking for help all offseason for their wide receiving corps, and former Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice would certainly fit the bill.
However, the NY Giants have spent a majority of their cap space rebuilding their defense, and could be cautious about spending big bucks on a receiver in the free agent market.
The NY Giants could very well utilize the 2014 NFL Draft for said need, but as of right now, everything is up in the air.
Sidney Rice, however, may not be one of the options on the table for the Giants.
