2016 NFL Draft: Giants Pick Sterling Shepard In 2nd Round - Scouting Report, Highlight Video And More

With the No. 40 overall selection, the New York Giants have selected WR Sterling Shepard from Oklahoma.

Position: Wide Receiver

Measurables: 5’10’’, 194 pounds, 4.48 40-yard dash

Scouting Report:
A lack of size hurts Shepard, but he’s a great route runner and could be one of the better WRs in this year’s draft. He’ll be best as a slot WR, but could be a No. 2 WR as well. He must get stronger to deal with press coverage, but when he gets a clean start off the line, he’ll get open thanks to his shiftiness.
