When our friends Christian Polanco and Alexis Guerreros — a.k.a. the Cooligans — promised a big surprise at last Thursday’s Q&A with NYCFC scion Jack Harrison, they weren’t fibbing.
Christian & Alexis made sure to explain to Jack that having a food item named after yourself in the City of New York, particularly a sandwich , is very much a right of passage on par with hanging a caricature at Sardi’s. It almost doesn’t matter if the eponymous sandwich is good, really — think Larry David’s whitefish and capers letdown from Curb — it’s the fact that someone thought you were cool enough to have the honor to begin with.
