New York City FC manager Patrick Vieira spoke with the media on Wednesday and gave some updates on the injuries of David Villa and Ronald Mataritta.
When it comes to Mataritta’s injury, Vieira said it’s too early to know right now the severity of his hamstring injury.
With NYCFC having to play on artificial grass on the road this Saturday against the New England Revolution, Villa likely won’t play. Right now, he’s been training on his own, on the side. Vieira said that a decision on Villa’s status for this week will be made on Friday.
