With yet another impressive performance Sunday night in Portland, New York City F.C. has picked up three wins in a row and stands even with the Montreal Impact atop the Eastern Conference.
Their 2-1 victory came together from the gang of unlikely heroes. The defensive line and goal keeping from Josh Saunders shined in a match that saw the Timbers dominate possession. My three notable performances from this week’s match will reflect that and it is much deserved.
This has been an area of the club that has been on the brunt of all criticism, including from myself and I hope they prove me wrong more often.
