Slumping NYCFC know they can ill afford a Revolution repeat

After suffering through a rough five-game stretch, New York City FC is hoping to break their malaise before heading into the international break. That means not just taking a lead Saturday against Philadelphia (1 p.m.; 8 p.m. tape delay, YES), but actually holding it.

NYCFC have just five points — and one victory — in a 1-2-2 skid. Coughing up an 86th-minute equalizer Wednesday against New England may have been the most galling moment of those games. They can ill afford a repeat in a six-point swing game at Yankee Stadium against another Eastern Conference foe.
