Ryan Campbell extends her contract with Gotham FC as team builds for the future

On Tuesday, NJ/NY Gotham FC announced that goalkeeper Ryan Campbell has extended her contract, keeping her with the club through 2028. She was signed through the end of this season, which was assumed to be a friendly contract to see how she would do in her first year as a professional.

Clearly, Campbell has done well in training since Gotham extended her stay in New Jersey. Moreover, one might assume that the club views her as the backup keeper for next year since Ann-Katrin Berger is signed through 2026. Shelby Hogan, who also joined the Bats this year, is currently the second-choice keeper.
