The result sees the two sides tied on points at the top of Group A through two matches, and puts Costa Rica in good position to qualify for the knockout rounds ahead of their final group stage match against French Guiana on Friday.
Wallace lined up on the left side of midfield in Costa Rica's 4-5-1, contributing to a strong showing for Los Ticos during a match in which they dominated just about every category. The Costa Ricans held over 61% of the game's possession and put ten shots on goal to Canada's one.
