As you already know, we recently flipped the calendars to June and that means it’s officially Pride Month. It’s a time of celebration, inclusion, and...Pride for millions of people around the world.
New York City FC first celebrated Pride in 2017, and has a long history of supporting the LGBTQ+ community. A handful of MLS teams held Pride Nights in 2018, and in 2019 the league formalized support in the most soccer-y way possible: They rolled out a line of merch. The special-edition warm-up kit was the first to be inspired by the Pride Flag, and include colors that represent the diverse values of the LGBTQ+ community.
