No one could’ve said it better than the boss himself, New York City FC just did not play. After Saturday’s 1-1 draw against the New England Revolution, the Frenchman gave his criticism on the match and Patrick Vieira was spot on.
A Yankee Stadium filled with 23,000 NYCFC supporters all had the same feeling, the feeling of disappointment with their club. From not being able to capitalize even with the Revolution’s red card to David Villa’s frustration gestures, the boys in blue did not play at all.
After scoring early in the match, NYCFC laid back and pretty much allowed the Revs to attack, especially in the first half.
