Let’s be honest, Andrea Pirlo has not been great for New York City FC and at his age he’s limited at how he can help the Blues.
NYCFC manager Patrick Vieira explained after the match why he took Pirlo off in favor of Yangel Herrera in the 56th minute.
“I think when Andrea is on the field our game is more fluid and we create more chances,” Vieira said, via NYCFC.com. “Yes, I make a change because I want something different, like all the other games, and it could Andrea out or it could be somebody else out.
