This week, New York City FC announced a friendly match with Liga MX’s Club Necaxa set for Friday, October 7th.
The team has no MLS matches between this Friday’s away date with Houston and a trip to D.C. United on October 16th.
"While there is an international break, this gives us the opportunity to help keep our rhythm on the field and spend time together as a group," gaffer Patrick Vieira said in the club’s official statement.
Added Sporting Director Claudio Reyna:
"As we gear up for the playoffs, this game will be a good test for us.
