NYCFC to face New England Revolution in the US Open Cup Round of 16

New York City FC will face New England Revolution in the Round of 16 in the US Open Cup in a game to be played on May 24 or 25 at Belson Stadium on the campus of St. John’s University in Queens.

The two teams have never met in the US Open Cup, but they have played each other 20 times over the years. New England hold the edge with nine wins to NYCFC’s eight, but New York City won their most important matchup to date when they beat the Revolution on penalty kicks to advance in the 2021 MLS Cup Playoffs.
