Needing reinforcements heading into a Supporter’s Shield battle with Atlanta United, New York City FC have made it known that they are looking for at least two new additions during the summer transfer window, one being on the defense and the other being in the midfield.
And it looks like City might have found addition no. 1.
Midfielder Daniel Bedoya of the Long Island Rough Riders — who played a scrimmage against the Blues a few days ago — was a participant in training today with NYCFC. The Colombian-born Bedoya, 24, is a former member of the rival New York Red Bulls’ U-23 and USL B-team’s (h/t @_JordanGriffith), and was also responsible for the beautiful backheel assist on Long Island’s lone goal in what would eventually be a 3-1 win for NYCFC on Thursday.
