With NYCFC preparing for the 2016 campaign, their preseason seems to be going well as they narrowed a 1-0 win over Oklahoma City Energy F.C Friday night. Playing at the IMG Academy in Florida where their schedule takes place, David Villa‘s lone goal in the 18th minute was the deciding factor.
Keeping most of the possession, OKC overturned the ball in the back where it fell in the lap of Villa. The veteran forward calmly took it up and curved it in the lower right side of the net.
The new boys in blue, Ronald Matarrita and Diego Martinez saw some action where they almost scored, but both shots just missed the cross bar.
