With a big win over Orlando City SC on Saturday, New York City FC is now off to a 3-0 start and one reason for their great start is midfielder Maxi Moralez, who was named to MLS’ Team of the Week.
While Moralez is the only NYCFC player named to the team, Blues head coach Patrick Vieira was named as the coach of the Team of the Week squad.
Moralez, who came over from Leon last season, scored a goal in the 74th minute, which helped put Orlando City away with a 2-0 lead, despite the fact that star striker David Villa was unable to play due to an injury.
