NYCFC and Chicago Fire play to a shocking draw

Unlike the first time they met, New York City FC and the Chicago Fire drew at 0-0. Both NYCFC and Chicago had few opportunities and the box score showed that. Each team will leave with a point, but both feel they could have had the full three points.

The Yankee Stadium crowd could only do so much as the boys in blue could only muster a few chances in the small confines in the Bronx.

NYCFC ran out a 4-1-2-3 with Andrea Pirlo as a central defensive midfielder which included a second straight start for Stiven Mendoza with Patrick Mullins capturing his first.
