1. Terrific Trio
This might not be something we learned, but definitely something that was further emphasized by Sunday’s win over New Jersey. Maxi Moralez, Yangel Herrera and Alex Ring is probably the greatest midfield trio in the history of this sport. Okay, maybe that’s a bit much (it’s not) but they’re still an unbelievable trio. This was only the fifth time this season the three have started a match together. NYCFC are unbeaten in these five matches with four wins and a draw.
