New York City FC just got through with a hard-earned midweek draw against Toronto FC, the top team in the MLS. On Saturday they will play host to the league’s hottest when they face the Chicago Fire at the Stadium (2 p.m., YES).
The Fire are unbeaten in MLS play since April, and are riding a six-game undefeated streak on the road. Meanwhile, NYCFC haven’t lost in six straight games in The Bronx. With third-place NYCFC just four points behind Chicago for second in the Eastern Conference, and five back of leader Toronto, the game has plenty of meaning.
