New York City FC are reportedly competing with FC Copenhagen for the services of 20-year-old attacking midfielder/winger, Jesus Medina. This news comes straight from Medina himself, on Paraguayan radio. NYCFC currently have two international spots available, following the signing of Anton Tinnerholm and trade of Frederic Brillant.
Medina plays for Libertad, the 2017 champions of Paraguay’s Primera División. He made his debut with the senior squad as a 15-year-old in 2012. Since then, he has gone on to make 72 appearances with the club, netting 17 goals. He has also advanced from Paraguay’s U17 team to the top-line national team along the way, making his debut this past July.
