Andrea Pirlo, David Villa and Frank Lampard are featured in the top 10 for jersey sales in MLS. Occupying the number one spot is Andrea Pirlo, captain David Villa finished in third and midfielder Frank Lampard came in ninth.
This is the second year in a row that the Club’s Designated Players have made the top 10 in jersey sales and also the second year in a row that New York City FC has had the most players in the top 10. In 2015, the three veterans placed fourth, fifth and seventh. The rankings are based on overall sales from the beginning of 2016 until midseason.
