What surfaced as a rumor last night was confirmed minutes ago: New York City FC have signed Matías Pellegrini from waivers. The 22-year-old Argentine winger will join the club immediately, and will be available to play on Sunday when NYCFC face Orlando do City in Florida.
As we reported earlier, the left-footed left-winger was under contract with Inter Miami, who loaned him to Estudiantes de la Plata in Argentina. Pelligrini featured 10 times for Estudiantes this season, and made the Starting XI for five league games and five Copa Libertadores matches.
