New York City FC at Toronto FC: Match Preview

Fresh off a impressive 2-1 win over the Portland Timbers, New York City FC takes its three-game winning streak to BMO Field to take on Toronto FC Wednesday night at 7 p.m

It is the second game of three in an eight-day stretch for NYCFC, which hosts the rival New York Red Bulls at Yankee Stadium May 21 at 3 p.m.

NYCFC (4-3-4), which is tied with the Montreal Impact atop the Eastern Conference with 16 points, and Toronto FC (4-4-2) are the only teams in MLS with three wins away from home this season.

On Sunday, centerback Jason Hernandez and goalkeeper Josh Saunders led an inspired defensive performance and David Villa and Tommy McNamara scored one goal in each half to lift NYCFC to a 2-1 win over the defending MLS Cup champions at Providence Park.
