New York City FC at New England Revolution: Match Preview 9/10/16

Nine days removed from a thrilling 3-2 win over D.C. United at Yankee Stadium, New York City FC returns to action Saturday night to take on the New England Revolution from Gillette Stadium.

Playing their second game in the penultimate month of the regular season, NYCFC (12-8-8) remain in first place in the Eastern Conference with six matches remaining. But there is no breathing room atop the table with the New York Red Bulls, Toronto FC and Philadelphia Union separated by just three points.

“It’s difficult because the other teams are so close to us,” midfielder Andoni Iraola said.
