New York City FC announces Jon Patricof as new President, to succeed Tom Glick in March

The President & COO of Tribeca Enterprises is the third team President in NYCFC's young history.

It was a bit of an open secret that Tom Glick was heading back to the parent company before the start of the 2016 MLS season. Today, it became official.

Jon Patricof, who has spent the last eleven years heading the company that runs the Tribeca Film Festival, was announced this morning as the next President of New York City FC.

Previously, Patricof was a strategic planning executive at Disney. The team presidency being all about business rather than the soccer itself, that relationship -- Disney, of course, owns ESPN -- will certainly not hurt New York's newest team as it further entrenches itself in the world's largest sports media market.
