It’s been over a month since New York City FC’s star playmaker Maxi Moralez has seen the field. Since the attacking midfielder sustained a calf injury against FC Cincinnati on September 12, NYCFC has been forced to be creative in replacing the Argentinian at the No. 10 spot.
At first, we saw Alexander Ring step into that role with varying levels of success. City would eventually find a suitable replacement in DP winger Alexandru Mitrita, who scored four goals in two games from the position.
