With reports over the weekend that Ligue 1 side Nice want New York City FC boss Patrick Vieira as their next manager, it looks like Vieira’s short stint in the MLS will soon be over.
French news outlet L’Equipe is reporting (via Front Row Soccer) that Vieira has flown to Nice to finalize his contract with the club.
If Vieira does in fact sign with Nice, it would be a two year deal.
It’s easy to understand why Vieira would want to leave NYCFC for Nice, given the fact that he would be returning to his home country after debuting for Cannes 23 years ago.
