New York City FC is no stranger to controversy. Whether it be as trivial as the field they play on or as serious as claims of a white supremacist presence in their supporter groups, the club just seems to be a magnet for drama.
But this most recent bout of controversy is quite concerning considering how shocking in nature it is.
A woman by the name of Skyler B on Twitter — a former club intern — has come forward with accusations of sexual harassment levied against former NYCFC star David Villa. The allegations say that Villa inappropriately touched her on several occasions and that the culture within the working environment at NYCFC was toxic.
