New York City FC captain David Villa has been named to MLS Team of the Week for Week 23.
The forward scored a brace for the second time at MAPFRE Stadium this season in a 3-3 draw in Columbus.
Villa scored his 14th and 15th goals of the 2016 season in the last 10 minutes of stoppage time against the Crew, bringing him level with Sebastian Giovinco at the top of the MLS Golden Boot race.
