New York City FC’s Captain David Villa met 2015 FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year and two-time Olympic gold medalist Carli Lloyd. The two met in Los Angeles.
Lloyd, a member of the U.S. Women’s national team, helped the United States win the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015. Lloyd scored a hat trick in the finals against Japan, earning the Golden Ball Trophy and the Silver Boot for the tournament.
The Captain scored 18 goals and registered five assists in 2015 for New York City FC.
