New York City FC has always had one face, and that’s always been David Villa. The club’s first ever signing and captain, since joining NYCFC, Villa has made it perfectly clear that he’s had one goal in mind. The goal is pretty obvious, to bring that prestigious MLS Cup to the big apple.
After failing to make the play-offs in the inaugural season and a less than impressive start to the 2016 campaign, Villa’s goal is getting out his reach. With two months in the books for NYCFC’s second year, the club currently sits in sixth place with 10 points.
