CONCACAF Champions League aiming to resume in December

Just over seven months after the competition’s initial postponement due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, CONCACAF has announced that they intend on resuming the CONCACAF Champions League in December following the MLS’s season completion, albeit with some modifications due to the circumstances.

CONCACAF’s current plan is to host the remainder of the tournament in a regional bubble, likely in the Southern U.S. According to SI.com, “both semifinals and then the final will be a single game, meaning the entire event will comprise seven games played across three rounds. It could be accomplished in about a week.
