Alexander Callens has been voted Etihad Player of the Month for March.
The Peruvian defender has enjoyed an excellent start to his life as an NYCFC player since joining from Numancia in January.
Callens received 51% of the vote, besting Rodney Wallace, David Villa and Maxi Moralez to take the first individual player award of the season.
Callens told NYCFC.com: “Thanks so much to the fans for voting for me. It means a lot to me because the fans are giving me their confidence and support and this is what a footballer always wants – for the fans to support them.
