Former LA Galaxy and current United States Men’s National team manager Bruce Arena was asked about their World Cup qualifier being held at the New York Red Bulls’ stadium in New Jersey.
“I’m from New York; we don’t accept New Jersey as part of New York,” said Arena, via Kristian Dyer of MSG.
In all fairness to the Red Bulls, New York City FC know first hand how difficult it is to get a stadium in New York.So it’s not a surprise that they’re in New Jersey.
The Blues are still sharing Yankee Stadium after three years in the MLS and there currently isn’t a plan for them to get a new stadium.
