NYCFC's newest signing, Slovenian defender Andraz Struna, has had quite a career so far. He's been all over Europe and has earned himself a quarter-century of caps for his national team.

- His younger brother Aljaz, is also a defender and has earned himself seven national team caps since 2016.
- Andraz helped his Greek Superleague club PAS Giannina qualify for European competition for the first time in their history after the 2015-16 season, during which they finished 6th overall.
