Maybe the problems already started popping up but the Saints will be without veteran wide receiver Rishard Matthews. As predicted by Who Dat Dish, Matthews is a problem. Fortunately, he’s cut himself so the Saints won’t have to do the dirty work.
Brian Bienemy, now working as @Public_B_Enemy for BSPN, first reported that Matthews was cut with a “left squad” designation. That’s one better than a failure to report. This report was initially incorrectly attributed to ESPN’s Field Yates.
There was a lot of hype around Matthews when he was first added to the roster.
