The New Orleans Saints overcame a 17-3 deficit to upset the Los Angeles Chargers in their preseason game, and much of it was due to the plays made by reserve quarterback Taysom Hill. Hill took over from backup passer Teddy Bridgewater shortly before halftime, and went to work against the Chargers’ defensive reserves. Struck without an answer to several successful scoring drives, the Chargers shorted out in the end and the Saints left with a 19-17 victory in hand.
And Hill led the way, gaining more yards through the air (136) and on the ground (53) than any other player on both teams.
