Tyler Shough had an excellent 2025 season, despite not starting until week 9. He turned the New Orleans Saints around and went 5-4 while under center. Shough should be the Offensive Rookie of the Year, but the national media may not recognize his impact and snub him from the award.
Shough completed 67.6% of his passes and threw for 2,384 yards, 10 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also added another three touchdowns rushing. On the surface, these stats don’t seem too impressive, but other factors like his surrounding talent and situation should be considered.
This is a major reason the hype behind Shough isn’t greater and why he may not win Offensive Rookie of the Year.
