New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton isn’t known for his patience. Whether he’s calling plays on offense at a breakneck pace or rushing through drills in practice, Payton isn’t one to stand still and let others pass him by. He enjoys being proactive. That philosophy extends to his team-building strategies, and should come into play again in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The Saints are very likely to trade up again at some point in this year’s draft, but don’t expect a move down. They’ve traded down just three times since Payton began calling the shots, and not at all since 2007.
