The Saints need to let go of the Malcolm Butler thing

It was the talk of the offseason for the Saints in 2017. Malcolm Butler, the outstanding cornerback from the New England Patriots, was coming to New Orleans. Then he wasn’t. Then he was. And finally he didn’t.

The Saints, instead, traded Brandin Cooks to the Patriots for a first round pick that would end up being Ryan Ramczyk. And last season Malcolm Butler was a restricted free agent. This year he’s unrestricted and the talk is starting up again. Should the Saints pursue Malcolm Butler?

The quick answer is no. They shouldn’t.
